Verify what you downloaded
A 100 MB download can arrive damaged without saying so. If you want to be certain the file is intact and unmodified, check its SHA256 — it should match this exactly:
0626A6A00CBA04B2F0C55C84DCD1570132DC50F0D46442390352E617002D32D1
In PowerShell, from the folder you downloaded it to:
Get-FileHash .\ShoshitaSetup-1.2.0.exe -Algorithm SHA256
If the hash does not match, delete the file and download it again. If it still does not match, email us before running it.
If Windows shows a warning
The installer is code-signed — Azure Trusted Signing, issued to Bruno Leone Cury. Windows SmartScreen may still show a “Windows protected your PC” message on a newly published build. That is about download reputation, not about the signature: reputation accrues to a publisher as more people install a given version, and every new release starts that count again. Shoshita is new, so expect it for a while.
You do not have to take our word for it. Check the signature yourself:
- Right-click ShoshitaSetup-1.2.0.exe → Properties
- Open the Digital Signatures tab
- You should see Bruno Leone Cury listed. Select it and click Details — it should read “This digital signature is OK.”
No signature listed at all? Do not run the file. Delete it and download it again from this page, then let us know at support@shoshita.ca.
After the trial
A license is $39.99 USD, once — not a subscription. The first 50 licenses are $24.99 USD with the code FOUNDER50, entered at checkout.
Activation asks for the internet exactly once, to check the key. After that Shoshita never contacts the network again — your transactions are encrypted on your own machine and stay there.
